yeah...
so, what was it? the first 10,000 photos of your life are crap, and only then you've acquired enough experience to take yourself seriously?
sounds about right. its a weird thing, and i dont know about the exact amount of photos, but its a lot nevertheless. at least in my case.
i suppose its true for whatever you do with a serious level of conviction. the deeper you go, the deeper you realise the shit reaches. the more you know, the better you realise how little in fact you do know.
its such a rewarding thing to be able to better yourself on your own, instead of churning out the same old stuff with the same techniques, hardware and of the same subject matter.
exploration is the key, of all facets of your craft. and it all applies for your life as well. the more you try shit out, the more you actually know, and the more you know, the humbler you become, because you understand your place within it all, so to speak.
im so happy i found this place those years ago when i first picked up a camera, because - say what you will about the all-is-beautiful, 100%-approval of whatever instagram facebook garbage and narcissistic, automastubatory fakery that there may be in this vastness - ive gained lots from my time here. forget 'likes' or 'favourites' or comments, its how you take it all in, how you pursue what you do and for what reason.
doing my own research on new topics and taking endeavours into overwhelming waters to take what i do further to... whatever. its great to have a forum that allows me to do that.
so with that tacky tirade, thanks to all of you who make this a real experience.
